Styles, ideas
Thoughts in words,
Yet not so blunt

They ask the point
A "why" here and there

"Poetry and prose,
It's all just words."
They tell me,
As if there is no

How I laugh
When I ask in return
"What have you
Ever written before?"

The teacher
Is the common reply

I don't laugh,
For I feel too sad...
Sorry for them.

Pick your choice,
Ink or lead,
And place it on
A blank page

Let your mind go empty,
And enter a new world:
One of words

Move your fingers
And letters shall form

And yet...
That's only the basis

A story, maybe
Possibly a narrative
In poetry

What's your style?

Open and blunt,
This is what

I have a story to tell,
But you must figure it
Out on your own

Do you want
Them to know
Your thoughts
Or are you open
To perspective?

Some may think,
My examples above
Go in the order
Of prose first,
Then poetry

But only a true writer
Would ever know...
Because we cannot
Tell you

But if you
Thought that...

I laugh as I say,
"You should begin
To write again."
For all those who think poetry is just writing prose and skipping to the next line whenever you feel like it.

You can't judge it if you haven't written it.

people are extremely ignorant in writing.  it really is quite sad.
Nicely put. The world of poetry is bigger and more complex than most people think.

That is extremely true.
If only others could realize the potential in it all...
I guess some don't even try to realize it. :(

This is amazing! I love it... It is so to explain to people how I write and why I write... For the exact reason you mentioned
